West Nipissing police report three men broke into a John St. home early this morning and demanded cash and drugs.

It happened around 4 a.m. today when police were called because of a disturbance at the house.

Police found that a man had been attacked in his home.

Three men burst into the victim’s home and threatened him with a gun, demanding money and drugs. When the man said no, he was assaulted. The attackers fled before police arrived.

However, police arrested one suspect near the scene and the search for the other two continued throughout the morning.

Two other men were successfully arrested just before nine this morning.

All three are being held in custody in connection with the home invasion.

The victim was taken to the West Nipissing General Hospital and is being treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

No names were released by police.
