With North Bay being the popular site for so many movie productions, it’s not that unusual to have a movie star slip into a local restaurant for a bite to eat.

That’s exactly what happened earlier this week at gd2go healthy food fast eatery/restaurant located on Main Street East.

Actress Andie MacDowell is in North Bay as part of the the Hideaway Pictures production of “Christmas Inheritance” which is being filmed in the city from March 24th to April 8th.

MacDowell, known for her role in the movies such as “Groundhog Day” and “Four Weddings and a Funeral” stopped into the downtown restaurant for a bite and was impressed with the gd2go energy bites.

In fact, she liked them so much that gd2go gave her a quick lesson on how to make the sugar/gluten free snacks on Tuesday.

“She takes them quite seriously so Jana Brogan (manager) took some time to show her how to make them, she takes eating clean quite seriously,” stated gd2go owner Ben Farella, noting it's a local recipe.

“So grateful to our growing film industry and the wonderful people it draws into the city and to gd2go.”

Farella adds that MacDowell told him she loves coming up here and thinks the people are kind in North Bay.

The local restaurant has been catering the production all week.
