It's Easter time and Daniel Seguin loves it, because that's when his house becomes his own giant canvas.

Making people happy
Seguin's imagination runs wild and festive, and he decorates his house with eight different themes every year.

He has been doing this since his father passed away 20 years ago.

"Initially it started in memory of my father," Seguin said.

"My father liked making people happy."

Great artist
Seguin lives on the corner of Cassells Street and Seventh Street W with his wife Roberta and their two children Elina, six, and Luc, three.

This year's theme consists of many different decorations and lights including six giant and towering inflatable rabbits. Tiger and Winnie the Poo are also there wearing rabbit ears.

"I don't keep track of the cost for all this. If I did my wife would want to go to bingo more often," Seguin laughed Seguin.

"I know I'm never going to be a great artist or anything, but I know no one else is doing what I do to this degree."

Best at night
Seguin spent almost a week setting up his display. He went up and down on his ladder stringing up lights and putting everything in place for the final effect.

"It looks the best at night," Seguin said.

He also mentioned that vandalism is a big problem.

"Every time I put up a new scene it cost me $150 dollars in damages."

Laugh and smile
Seguin's favorite display is his Easter display.

"Christmas is nice and Halloween I love, but Easter is my favorite because a lot of people have Christmas displays and Halloween displays but no one has Easter displays."

Seguin says that he has to watch the weather channel all the time because if the wind reaches over 20 kms an hour his inflatable rabbits will blow down.

"I plan to do this for as long as I am here," Seguin said.

"I like to make people laugh and smile."
