Highway traffic slow through Latchford

Traffic Backed up in Latchford
Southbound traffic through Latchford is backed up for a couple of kilometres due to the temporary one-lane bridge and the high volume of traffic traveling from various events in northern Ontario.

MTO has been contacted in regards to the short cycle on the lights, however it appears that a change to the light cycle will not be made today.

OPP are asking the motoring public to be patient, and to drive courteously.

Light traffic might consider using the Quebec route, from New Liskeard through Hwy 65 to Hwy 101 and to Hwy 63 at Eldee, Ontario if possible.
