This morning just before 7 a.m., Nipissing West OPP officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 64, near Alban, French River.
Preliminary investigation indicated that a motor vehicle had struck a school bus.
No one on the school bus had been injured, but the driver of the vehicle was taken to the local hospital by paramedic services with life-threatening injuries.
Highway 64 remains closed in both directions, (2 p.m.) between Highway 607 and Golf Course Road, while members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team process the scene.
There is a detour via Hwy 607 to Hwy 69.
