Update: Fatal accident: Highway 11 closed near Iroquois Falls after serious crash

Update 4:30 p.m.

On July 21, at 8 a.m., Iroquois Falls Detachment of the OPP were called to a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 11, Calvert Township, north of Highway 67

The driver of one of the vehicles, Michael McCreight, 51 years of age, of Timmins was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The investigation in on-going with the assistance of the North East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team including a Technical Collision Investigator and a Reconstructionist.

The highway remains closed.

Highway 11 is closed near Iroquois Falls following a serious crash, according to South Porcupine OPP.

The two-vehicle collision is near Hopkins Road in Iroquois Falls and happened around 8:30 a.m. today (July 21). 

The road is closed in both directions.

The detour is Highway 655.
