We've had a lot of rain already today, but much more is on the way.

Environment Canada has a rainfall warning out for:

  • North Bay - West Nipissing,
  • Burk's Falls - Bayfield Inlet
  • Huntsville - Baysville
  • Témiscamingue
  • Muskoka-Parry Sound

Rain, heavy at times is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

Rain will continue this evening then change over to snow beginning near midnight.

Further rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 mm are likely by midnight. This will bring total rainfall amounts up to the 25 to 50 mm range across the area.

Snow amounts will be limited to a couple of centimetres by Good Friday morning.

The precipitation will taper off to scattered showers on Good Friday as the low-pressure system responsible for this wet weather moves away over Quebec.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
