The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit says it has not received any notification of a potential COVID-19 exposure related to Ontario Northland Bus numbers 2106 and 5401 that travelled from Toronto's Union Station, departing at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 13.

Officials at Public Health Sudbury and Districts announced Sunday there was potential exposure to COVID-19 for anyone on those buses that travelled to North Bay from Toronto, with transfer service to Sudbury.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit advises, "At this time, no risks have been identified for residents in the district in relation to this potential exposure," on Ontario Northland passenger coaches.

Meanwhile, health officials from PHSD are advising anyone who was onboard Ontario Northland bus routes 2106 and 5401 to follow public health guidance:

  • Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from potential exposure.
  • Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
  • Seek testing if symptoms occur.
  • Visit phsd.ca/COVID-19 to learn more about self-monitoring, self-isolation, symptoms, and testing.

If needed, COVID-19 testing appointments can be arranged through your local Health Unit.
