Golf is not the only recreation sport available now that more businesses and facilities open up from the COVID-19 restrictions.

The Granite Club in North Bay is opening up its courts for tennis, badminton and pickleball.

Bobby Ray, General Manager at the Granite Club, says it means a great deal to be back open again.

"It is great to be able to put our staff back to work, and to provide a much-needed opportunity for the citizens of North Bay to get some fresh air and physical activity," Ray told BayToday.

"The North Bay Granite Club has also partnered with KTP Racquet Club to offer four Badminton or Pickleball courts in the arena."

Ray says all activities, including instruction, are limited to one-on-one or among members from the same household for the time being.

Rules and recommendations for participating during COVID-19 are prominently posted on the clubs' website and on location.

Ray adds that several hand-washing stations have been added while access to equipment and facilities have been limited where they are considered non-essential.

Both clubs offer membership and guest fee options.

"Now is a great time for folks to finally try that new racquet sport they've been thinking about for years," noted Ray.
