The North Bay Granite Club's Club Pro has been promoted to General Manager.

Granite Club officials believe Laura brings years of experience in a not-for-profit organization with the Fire Marshal's Council of Ontario, as well as bookkeeping and marketing experience with G.E.M Contracting.

Johnston is involved in competitive curling and has been the Club's Regional Curling Professional at the club since September 2019.

"I have enjoyed several opportunities through curling competitively, some highlights being a silver medal at the Canada Winter Games for Team Ontario in Bathurst, NB and winning the Junior Toronto Curling Association earning a trip to Switzerland," she stated in her organizational biography.

She takes over the role from Stacey Dobbin who held the position for less than two years.
