Good will from Skaters North and the Lakers

‘We thank everyone who participated in this event’

Some good will being shown by Skaters North sports store and the Nipissing Lakers this week. 

Paul McLean from Skaters North and Coach Mike McParland of the Lakers are excited to donate three full sets of hockey equipment to one minor house league player in each of the North Bay Minor Hockey association as well as the North Bay and District Girls Hockey association and donating a complete equipment package to one minor Ringette player from the West Ferris Ringette association.
 

McParland says the donation was made possible by fundraising and sponsorship namely through the Lakers Skaters/Station Golf Day this summer. 

"A special thank you to Ken Coughlin of Tim Horton's as well as Nipissing Hockey Alumni and current NHL Referee Conor O'Donnell," said McParland. 
 

"We thank everyone who participated in this event." 

The Lakers Men's Hockey team will do battle Wednesday night vs University of Toronto with Maple Leaf call up Alex Bishop in nets.  The cost to attend is free for the Lakers second pre season contest. 

Game time is 7 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
