Seized, Abandoned and Found Items
On a regular basis, the North Bay Police Service will seize property items, such as tools, clothing and jewelry, as a result of criminal investigations. As well, members of the public will regularly report abandoned items, such as bicycles, or they will bring in found items to police headquarters.

Police dispose of property items that are not claimed by their owners on an annual basis by way of a public auction.

All items are sold "as is." The North Bay Police Service does not inspect, warrant or guarantee any of the items sold.

Auction proceeds
All proceeds from the public auction goes to the North Bay Police Service Board, which in turn uses the funds to provide donations to local charities and events.

Public Encouraged to Report Stolen Items
The North Bay Police Service encourages the citizens of North Bay and Callander to report stolen property to the police by telephone at 705-497-5589, or in person at the station at 135 Princess Street West.
