Want to know why garbage pickup is late? Don't know when the Recycling Centre is open?

Well, there's now an app for that.

You can now get instant and mobile access to waste information by downloading the City of North Bay’s free "Recycle Coach" app that puts garbage, recycling, and other waste management services at your fingertips.

“This is a new way for us to connect with residents and provide information about our waste diversion programs in a more convenient and accessible way,” said Councillor Tanya Vrebosch, chair of the City’s Engineering and Works Committee.  “We’ll be able to update the information on the app as necessary so it will always be current.  With this app residents won’t forget their collection day.  We hope to make their lives a little bit easier.”

The app provides residents with instant access to waste collection schedules and services.

Instead of hunting for your printed schedule, you can now check details on collection dates; materials accepted for recycling or disposal; drop-off depots, hours and rates; and more – all on their mobile devices. The app also allows residents to set up personalized reminders for any of the collection programs.

For example, you can set a reminder for the day that recycling is collected, or set up an alert for upcoming Goods Exchange days.

Download the free Recycle Coach app from the App Store or Google Play.
