Freezing rain is expected Saturday afternoon and night.

Environmenrt Canada has issued a special weather statement for:

  • North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
  • West Nipissing - French River
  • Greater Sudbury and vicinity
  • South River - Burk's Falls - Bayfield Inlet - Dunchurch
  • Huntsville - Baysville - Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park
  • Témiscaming - Ville-Marie area
  • Temiskaming Shores - Temagami - Kirkland Lake - Englehart


Light snow or ice pellets are possible Saturday before changing to freezing rain Saturday afternoon or evening. High zero. Freezing rain will change to rain early Sunday morning as temperatures rise above the freezing mark. High 7.

Ice accretion of 5 to 10 mm is possible by early Sunday morning.

Colder air will be ushered back into the area by Sunday afternoon, with precipitation changing to snow once again, along with a brief risk of freezing rain.

Untreated surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Local power outages may be possible.

Consider changing travel plans accordingly as hazardous winter travelling conditions are possible.
