Four in hospital after Highway 60 collision. Cops seeking dashcam footage

A serious two-car collision yesterday on Highway 60 near Huntsville sent four people to the hospital. 

OPP are appealing to the public for dashcam footage of the accident.

It happened, at 3:38 in the afternoon.  Officers along with the Muskoka Paramedic Services and Algonquin Highland Fire Department, responded to the collision at the intersection of Highway 60 and Ragged Falls Park Rd, in Algonquin Highlands township, east of Huntsville,

Police say one car involved in the collision was carrying three people, while the second car was carrying two people. Four people were taken to the hospital, two with minor injuries and two with serious injuries. The two with serious injuries are in stable condition. One is at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and the second is at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.

Highway 60 was closed as OPP Technical Collision Investigators conducted an investigation. It was fully reopened after six hours.

"Anyone with dash camera footage or other information related to this incident is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police," said Cst. Jeff Handsor.

This investigation is still ongoing and further information will be released when it becomes available.
