UPDATED: Four car crash closes highway

Police say they are still investigating and there was at least one person injured

Update 2 p.m. Thursday

Preliminary information received is that the pickup truck hit a small car, which was then pushed into an SUV causing the SUV to rollover and hit a second SUV.  Minor injuries were reported in the collision and two drivers were transported to hospital as a precaution. 

The highway was closed for just over an hour while debris and vehicles were removed. The highway was re-opened at 9:00 a.m.

As a result of the investigation 28 year old Cory Little of Powassan was charged with careless driving.

OPP haven't released details yet, but by Twitter announced a four car collision this morning in the construction zone on the northbound lane of the Highway 11 bypass, just south of the Highway 17 turnoff.

Police say they are still investigating and there was at least one person injured.

From the photos it appears to be a four vehicle rear ender chain reaction.

Police used the hashtag #payattention.

The highway was closed but has since reopened.
