Former school is site of Business Garden of the Week

A terrace, and use of existing trees have completely blocked out the nearby Lakeshore Drive traffic
The first Business Garden of the Week goes to the site of a former school that's growing businesses as well as flowers.

"We are delighted to recognize "'Coworking176.space', the former Tweedsmuir Public School, as this summer's first Business Garden of the Week," says North Bay Blooms Chair Maureen Ranger. "They have truly done an amazing job of redesigning the outdoor space and converting it from a playground to a free-form garden and outdoor relaxation area."

The school had been named after John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir, who served as Governor General of Canada from 1935-40.

Joe Falk and Greenstone Landscaping did the design and installation work over a six month period and the flowers are just now coming into colour.

A terrace, and use of existing trees have completely blocked out the nearby Lakeshore Drive traffic.

Owner and developer Christian Fortin was on hand to accept the award and said guests are welcome to drop by and enjoy the gardens and art gallery in the building but let reception know you are in the building.
