With the Lake Nipissing ice cover gone, the lake level nearing seasonal norms and no significant precipitation in the forecast, the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) has lifted the Watershed Condition Statement – Flood Outlook for the Lake Nipissing shoreline in North Bay and Callander.

“All the factors that put the Lake Nipissing shoreline at risk of ice damage, erosion and flooding for the last 21 days have subsided.  We were very fortunate we did not receive any significant winds or rainfall to add to the snow melt,” said Brian Tayler, NBMCA’s CAO.
