The North Bay Parry Sound Health Unit reports eight new COVID cases today, bringing the total to 570 since the pandemic began.
There are now 75 active cases, and eight of those are now hospitalized.
There are 72 per cent of adults with at least one dose of vaccine, and 23 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Dr. Jim Chirico says the Health Unit will continue to monitor the situation in the region as the area is currently on pace to move into Stage Two of the province's re-opening plan.
This morning the province announced it is speeding along Ontario's reopening roadmap to enter Step Two a few days early.

The Timiskaming Health Unit reports no new cases and no active cases.
The Sudbury Health Unit reports six new cases and 37 active cases.
The Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit reports nine new cases and 97 active cases.
There have been 12,240 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Simcoe Muskoka since COVID-19 was first identified in Canada.
