Prices look like they are ready to spike this afternoon, with at least one station on Algonquin already at 1.38.3. for regular.
That's a jump of about 15 cents a litre from existing prices.
There are still a number of stations selling in the 1.23-1.24 range.
The highest price in North Bay this morning is 1.38.9 at the Shell on Fisher while the Shell on Lakeshore is 1.24.9.
Eagle's Nest on Highway 17 W. is still at 1.19.7 as of 11:45.
The Ontario average, according to GasBuddy is 1.32.8. with prices on the rise across the province.
Meanwhile, the ESSO in Geraldton hit 1.50 this morning.
This comes as crude oil inventories increased by 2.2 million barrels according to GasBuddy to a total of 429.7 MMbbl. Inventories are 18.7 per cent below last year and are in the lower half of the average range for this time of year.
