The OPP is confirming one person is dead following a serious collision on Highway 63 within the city limits of North Bay.
The accident happened. this morning,(Wednesday), shortly after 10:30.
Highway 63 is closed in both directions while police continue to investigate. The OPP says there is no detour available and the highway will remain closed for several hours.
The investigation is ongoing and police say further information will be released as it becomes available.
The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the Office of the Chief Coroner - Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are assisting with this investigation.
North Bay OPP officers, North Bay Fire and Emergency Services, and the District of Nipissing Paramedic Services responded to the collision.
