One person has been confirmed dead after an early morning accident on Highway 11 near Englehart.
Today, (May 30), shortly after 3 a.m. Temiskaming OPP, responded to a serious collision on Highway 11, north of Englehart, in the Township of Chamberlain.
It has been confirmed that one person has died.
Highway 11 is closed in both directions while police continue to investigate, however, a detour is available:
- Northbound Traffic: From Highway 11, take Highway 560 West to Highway 573 to Highway 11
- Southbound Traffic: From Highway 11, take Highway 573 south of Kenogami to Highway 560 to Highway 11
The highway will remain closed for several hours as the investigation is still on-going.

The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the Office of the Chief Coroner- Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are assisting with this investigation. The North East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team and the Englehart Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
