Looking for something to do with the kids New Year's eve?

The Families First New Years Eve Celebration is just around the corner and this year is the 23rd.

"Families First will welcome in the new year with family-oriented activities including the ever popular family skate, button making station, and inflatable bouncy land," says Wendy Prieur of the Families First Committee. "Other activities include the new interactive reptile shows, kids colouring contests, face painting, family swim, and the extra grand finale fireworks display to round off the evening in celebration of Canada’s 150th."

The free event will take place on Sunday, December 31 from 5 - 9 p.m. with activities at Thomson Park, Memorial Gardens, and the YMCA.

“We encourage all members of the community and their families to come down and join us for an evening of fun and entertainment,” added Brian Winkworth, Families First Committee.

While admission is free, everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the North Bay Food Bank.
