The weather forecast calls for clearing overnight with a low near the freezing point. That means fog patches may develop before morning with patchy frost also occurring

Frost may damage some crops and plants in frost-prone areas.

A frost advisory is in effect for:

  • North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
  • West Nipissing - French River
  • Greater Sudbury and vicinity
  • South River - Burk's Falls
  • Bayfield Inlet - Dunchurch
  • Témiscaming area-Ville-Marie area
  • Huntsville - Baysville
  • Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park

Temperatures near or below the freezing mark are expected tonight into Thursday morning.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
