Employee holds robber till cops arrive

A store employee, despite being assaulted, held onto a robber until police arrived to make the arrest Tuesday.

North Bay police say a robber went into a retail store in the 200 block of Lakeshore Drive, shortly after 4 p.m. on February 11. The thief took items and left without paying.

An alert employee approached the man after he had left the store but was assaulted. Despite that, the robber was restrained until police arrived.

Arrested and charged is Kirill Loginov, 21, of North Bay with:

  • Robbery
  • Breach of probation.

Loginov has a history of being caught by employees.

He remains in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse on February 14.
