In recognition of World AIDS Day December 1st, the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area (ACNBA) in partnership with NUSU and CSRC painted the school red.

To kick things off a special ceremony was held in the main Education Centre foyer to recognize the most devastating diseases of our time and how each of us can make a difference.

World AIDS day was established by the World Health Organization in 1988, and World AIDS Day serves to focus global attention on the devastating impact the HIV/AIDS epidemic has had.

AIDS is the fourth-leading cause of death world-wide, so observing the day provides an opportunity for individuals, governments, and community organizations to demonstrate the importance of the fight against HIV/AIDS.
