This Sunday, six teams will face off in a 4-on-4 street hockey tournament to raise money for Easter Seals Ontario.
Teams compete for a variety of prizes and awards including the prestigious ‘Spirit Award’ recognizing the most creatively dressed team, where hockey equipment can be anything from briefcases to fire hoses, to umbrellas for goalies trying to block shots. Both players and spectators will enjoy a day of hockey, great food, family activities (face painting, fishing pond, temporary tatoos, popcorn and cotton candy machines) and loads of camaraderie.

WHAT: 10th Annual North Bay Power Play for Easter Seals Kids

WHEN: Sunday, September 23, 2012
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: East Side Mario’s Restaurant parking lot
285 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay, ON

Since 1999, Power Play has raised over $2 million for Easter Seals kids across the Province. For the past 90 years, Easter Seals Ontario has been offering programs and services to help children and youth with physical disabilities achieve a greater level of acceptance and independence. Easter Seals provides financial assistance for the purchase of costly mobility equipment and communication devices as well as fully accessible summer camp and funding for other summer recreational programs.

Easter Seals also provides access to information and resources, as well as public education and awareness.
