Here's a twist on the old man bites dog story.

On August 20, shortly after 11:30 p.m., members of the OPP responded to reports of a young woman that appeared to be drunk and stumbling on a street in Elliot Lake. 

Police found the girl who had gotten into someone's pick-up truck and passed out in the front passenger seat. 

An ambulance was called and she was taken to the local hospital. 

While in hospital care the female became assaultive with hospital staff and police and then bit an officer on the arm. 

Once released from the local hospital the teen was arrested.

An 18 year old female, from Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Assault a Peace Officer, and
  • Two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order, 

She is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on October 4, 2016.
