Drug trafficking and weapons charges laid

Police have charged a North Bay man with drug trafficking and weapons offences

At 4:15 p.m. on September 5 officers were called to a residence as part of an unrelated investigation. The suspect, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was found there and arrested.

Earlier that same day, the accused threatened the victim while they were both at the residence.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • cash
  • counterfeit American and Canadian currency
  • A butterfly knife (prohibited weapon)
  • Less than one gram of cocaine
  • Less than one gram of crystal methamphetamines
  • six grams of suspected Fentanyl

The accused and victim are known to one another.

Christopher Nolan Gosse, 38, of North Bay, is charged with:

  • Four counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Two counts of uttering threats
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possessing counterfeit money
  • Two counts of failure to comply with a prohibition order
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Gosse was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
