Downtown hit with Easter weekend break-ins

A busy Easter Saturday for city police as they had three break and enters that occurred to businesses in the downtown area during the early morning hours.

Shortly after 3 a.m. a window was broken to gain entry into a business in the 100 block area of McIntyre Street East.  Once inside thieves rummaged through the counter area however nothing was stolen.

Between 4 and 4:30 a.m. entry was gained into a business in the 100 block area of Main Street West. As the culprits walked through the building storage cupboards were rummaged through, however, nothing was stolen. A broken window was used to leave the building.

At approximately 5 a.m. police responded to an alarm of a business in the 600 block area of McIntyre Street East. The intruder gained entry by smashing a window. Once inside a small amount of cash was found and taken. The thief fled before police arrived.
