A block near the downtown core has been blocked off as police officers are dealing with a distraught individual in an apartment building.
"A person with mental health issues is currently in crisis," stated Marie Lugli, North Bay Police Corporate Communications Coordinator.
"The public is not in danger," she added.
The incident is taking place at the corner of Third and Wyld.
Witnesses say a total of six police cruisers are at the scene along with an ambulance.
