Death toll rises for more than 345 in Mecca stampede

Reports this morning indicate that more than 345 people have been killed in a stampede that happened during a Muslim ritual today in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The stampede occurred during the symbolic stoning ritual known as the hajj.

Early reports indicate Saudi Muslim pilgrims rushing to finish ritual on the last day may have tripped over luggage.
