Didn't know the city had a jazz club?
It does, and since October of 2016, has presented a number evenings available to the public.
Tomorrow, (Tuesday) the Nipissing Parry Sound Music and Jazz Corporation presents David LaRonde and Band.

"David’s blend of folk, folk rock and blues tells a story of fresh lakes, heartbreak, loneliness, love, hope, joy, and a cool summer breeze intertwined with the land and people of Temagami against a backdrop of natural forces of wind, water and waves," says a news release from the club.
"David Laronde is an Indigenous singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from TemeAugama Anishnabai (Deep Water People) Northern Ontario," according to his biography, "His Debut CD, "Right City Wrong Town" was nominated Best Blues CD by Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards 2013.
"Inspired by a vast variety of Folk, Country, Rock and Blues artists, David’s storytelling describes fresh takes on heartbreak, loneliness, love, hope, joy, and a cool summer breeze. Much of his song material intertwines the mystical power of the land and its ancient people against a backdrop of natural forces……..wind, water and waves.
"His music makes the transition from folk to rock to blues seamlessly as the songs “get personal” one minute with Can’t Take You With Me or Brothers and Sisters and then “exploding into universal themes” with edgy rock vibes in Show Me a Sign and Eternity. Upbeat songs like Northwind Track and Whispering Wind paint the scenery for the journey."
Laronde appears Tuesday (tomorrow) at the West Ferris Legion from 7 – 10 p.m.
Admission is $10 for member and $15 for non-members. Annual dues are $50
