February 19th, 2004


Near North Crime Stoppers and the Powassan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public’s assistance with a Theft of a 1992 Black Skidoo Mach 1 617CC from a residence on Highway #654 in Nipissing Township.

Sometime over night Sunday February 15th, and Monday morning February 16th, unknown thieves stole the Mach 1 Skidoo from the yard of the residence. The police are continuing their investigation.

Crime Stoppers wishes to remind the public that until the end of March 2004, tips that lead to the arrests or charges for Theft or Possession of Stolen Snowmobiles /All Terrain Vehicles will result in a Double Reward Payment as part of the anti-theft program “Operation Hot Sled”.
