Crime of the Week For March 17th 2004

Near North Crime Stoppers and the Powassan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving two separate break-in to ice shacks that were located on South Bay, Lake Nipissing.

Sometimes between Wednesday March 3rd and Monday March 8th , 2004, unknown persons forced their way into locked ice shacks that were located on Lake Nipissing, off the north shore of Bole’s Island. In one ice shack, tackles, two tackle boxes and a 12 volt car battery were stolen.
In the other ice shack, thieves took a Reverseomatic Propane heater model # DHV150LTG serial # 373804, a propane regulator, a 20 lb propane tank, a black cast iron hot plate, four fishing rods, a green Coleman tent heater and tackles.
