Frost is expected tonight in some areas.

It's a phrase that strikes fear into the hearts of all gardeners....a frost advisory.

Environment Canada is warning that frost may damage some plants and crops in frost-prone areas.

It applies to:

  • North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
  • West Nipissing - French River
  • Greater Sudbury and vicinity
  • Burk's Falls - Bayfield Inlet
  • Témiscamingue
  • Temiskaming Shores - Temagami - Kirkland Lake
  • Parry Sound - Muskoka
  • Deep River - Whitney - Eastern Algonquin Park

Temperatures will fall to below freezing tonight and early Sunday, resulting in frost conditions.

Tonight, partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers early this evening. Low minus 1.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
