The Northern Ontario Country Music Association announced this week that 2021 Awards Celebration weekend to celebrate the 2020 NOCMA Great Northern Opry and NOCMA Hall of Fame inductees has officially been postponed yet again.

"It is with great disappointment and regret," says a news release from the group.

"Because of this time of continued Covid uncertainty and for the health and safety of our NOCMA members and fans, the District Reps wish to advise that our NOCMA events for 2021 are all postponed," says the release.

"This decision was made after much consideration and discussion. We want to thank everyone for their patience and resilience during this challenging time. Rest assured we will be back to celebrating our NOCMA 2020 inductees as soon as it is safe, and we are committed to many more NOCMA country music celebration events in the future."

The Nipissing Parry Sound District inductees this year are Claude Lecuyer (also known as Ghost Rider) and Kevin Meisenheimer from Ramblin' Fever.

"We hold local 'celebration dances' for them here, plus the big awards show in November," Cheryl Hughes-Robbins told BayToday. "They will be inducted next year 2022 due to COVID."

NOCMA also has a website and Facebook page if you are interested in past inductees.
