Interim CAO David Linkie has become the fulltime city administrator. Council approved the move at its Monday night meeting.

Human Resources director Gerry Knox moves into Linkie's former position of managing director of community services, and a search will begin to hire a new HR director;

Council has approved the funding to begin work on the reconstruction of Jane Street, Eloy Road, College Drive and Gormanville Road over the next three years. The infrastructure work is being done in conjunction with the construction of the new North Bay Regional Health Centre. Jane Street will be tackled first. Council will receive $2.94 million from the hospital toward the $10.1 million cost of the entire job;

New directors have been appointed to North Bay Hydro Services Inc. and North Bay Hydro Distribution Ltd.

Carl Crewson, John krieg, Alexander Spiers and Glen Weckwerk are the new Distribution directors, and Kelly-Ann Turco and John Patrick Gallgher are the new Services directors. The appointments were confirmed Monday night.

Coun. Peter Chirico, Mike Anthony, Dave Mendicino, Tom Mason and Daryl Vaillancourt resigned from Distribution to make way for the new directors.

Coun. Mac Bain stays on as chairman of Distribution for three more months;

The Mayor's Office of Economic Development held its first meeting late Monday afternoon prior to the city council meeting.
