Some more good news for Cory Marks. This week Marks' album "Who I Am" has been nominated for the 2021 CCMA Alternative Country Album of the Year.
"To have an entire body of work recognized," admitted Marks via social media while thanking his fans.
"The time, the tears, the travel, the years, and now the pure joy of people connecting and loving your art, your stories, and your music. This is a feeling I really cannot explain."
Marks is back in Canada after getting a chance to perform in front of big crowds for the first time since early 2020 with stops from New York to Oklahoma earlier this month.
"It was just nice to be back out on the road again and playing in front of people," he said.
"Knowing I was the only Canadian country artist on tour in America was the cherry on top. although we were scheduled for 15 dates across the U.S., due to COVID-19 we weren’t able to, but I am thankful for the five shows I got.
"I think the whole thing was a highlight really, we played in front of thousands every night, and the fact that they were in five different states and the whole crowd was singing back to me from the start of my set until the end was amazing to see and feel. from north bay to all over America. I'm also the first country artist to ever play 'Rocklahoma' music festival in Pryor, Oklahoma with headliners like Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Limp Bisket and Halestorm to name a few. It was really cool to be there bringing country rock to metalheads and hard rock fans."

Marks is also gaining a lot more momentum with his new EP Nashville Nights and single "In Me I Trust."
"It has been great so far. well over 150,000 streams in the first two weeks is a good sign," noted Marks.
"Nashville nights the new EP features songs that are more rock on my debut album and gears you up for Saturday night out and also features a new single in me I trust which is a new rock song that will be on the new album coming 2022. the music video for that song is also getting some great reviews globally.
Marks also released a new lyric video for Good to Be Us this month.
"The new lyric video was to give that song more life and the moments captured in the lyric video just reminds us of the little things like family, friends, health and life in general keeping us all grounded and together!"
Marks says Canadian Country Radio is also running "Blame it on the Double."
"Be sure to add it, request it and add 'In Me I Trust' to your favourite playlists," said Marks.
