Corbeil man charged with impaired driving

On Wednesday August 8, 2012 at approximately 6:20pm, members of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 2 calls from 2 separate motorists reporting an erratic driver on Highway # 11, travelling southbound north of North Bay.

Police attended the area and located the vehicle operating southbound and confirmed the details reported to the Communications Centre. The driver of the vehicle was found to have been drinking and was arrested and transported back to the detachment for breath tests. The driver registered 2 readings in excess of 300mgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood. He was held in custody until sober and released with a first court appearance date of August 21, 2012.

Donald PARKS, 54yrs of Corbeil is charged with;

Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada and;

Over 80mgs contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
