North Bay Police took to Twitter to ask the public where they should set up a speed trap in the city.

They got 44 replies and the winner was Fisher Street.

So this morning, that's exactly where they set up.

The traffic officer, working in partnership with patrol officers, targeted Fisher Street from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. this morning.

The results are as follows:

  • 29 speeding tickets issued (the highest speed was 78 km/hr);
  • three 72-hour notices issued for documentation (drivers have 72 hours to show police their insurance slip or driver’s licence).
