The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) continues to measure snow depth and water content as part of its Flood Forecasting and Warning Program.

Water equivalent in the snow pack has increased significantly since the last snow survey was conducted on January 2, 2014.  The past two weeks brought more snow as well as rain, compacting the snow further as it absorbs more water.

Snow is measured for depth and water equivalence at three locations in the watershed.

Data for the season can be found on the NBMCA website at www.nbmca.on.ca.

North Bay Golf and Country Club (Chippewa Creek Watershed, North Bay)

Current Average Snow Depth for January 14, 2014 39.4 cm (130% of normal)
