A 36-year-old North Bay man was arrested and charged with drug-related charges Tuesday by members of Project Gateway, a joint investigation between members of the Ontario Provincial Police and North Bay Police service, assisted by the North Bay Police Service.

The arrest came after approximately a half-ounce of cocaine was seized from the man.

Aaron Alkins has been charged with:

1) possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

2) possession of a controlled substance cocaine, Section 4(1) CDSA.

Alkins will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, 360 Plouffe Street, North Bay, on Tues. June 15th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m.

The approximate street value of the cocaine seized is $1,500.
