Another cleanup initiative will take place this weekend.
This one organized by Clean Green Beautiful North Bay will kick off at the Northgate Shopping Centre and go from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the local shopping centre Sunday morning.
The event will kick off at the mall parking lot adjacent to the bypass in front of Urban Planet.
Organizers say the goal of the event is to bring the community together for a litter-free day across the city.
Northgate Shopping Centre has sponsored the Clean Green Beautiful initiative with a donation of $2000. Mall officials encourage other businesses to donate to the cause as well.
"Northgate is committed to environmental sustainability and supporting the Clean Green Beautiful movement for years to come," Northgate stated in its release today.
Clean Green Beautiful bags and registration forms will be available to pick up at Northgate Guest Services from September 18 to 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. on Saturday and Sunday. Bags will also be available at Urban Planet and Parker's Independent on the day of the cleanup.

Miller Waste will be picking up any CGB bags on residents' regular garbage day.
Parker's and TD will also have their teams out doing litter pickups on their properties and invite residents city-wide to make their own teams and do the same in their respective neighbourhoods.
