We all have stuff we don't use taking up space in our garages and closets.
Here's a chance to get our neighbours to take that stuff...free!
Goods Exchange Day is a way for everyone in the City of North Bay to actively participate in waste RE-USE.
This Saturday April 22, residents are encouraged to place USABLE unwanted goods at the curb or at the end of their driveways so that other people may take and use them. Re-usable items might include furniture, clothing, books, tools, sporting goods, toys, doors, windows, sinks etc.
Goods Exchange Day helps protect the environment in two ways; it cuts down on garbage that would otherwise end up in the City’s landfill, and re-using items saves the energy and the environmental impact of producing new items, such as the pollution created when goods are manufactured.
Residents are asked to place items out after 8 a.m. and remove any leftovers by 6 p.m.
There will be no pickup of leftover items.
