City, union reach tentative deal

The city has reached a tentative settlement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 122-1, which represents its inside and outside workers.

The city has reached a tentative settlement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 122-1, which represents its inside and outside workers.

Both sides agreed to the deal on Wednesday, a news release from the city states, but details will not be released pending ratification by the union and city council.

Ratification is expected to occur during the next two weeks. The existing collective agreement expired December 31, 2003.
