City police investigating arson on Airport Rd.

At 4:40am 14th Dec the Fire and Police services responded to a fire call between Airport Rd and Lakeview St.

A line of cedar trees wrapped in burlap was set on fire.

Investigation revealed that the same two persons had also set fire to a toilet roll inside a port-a-john located at a construction site off of Kenreta Dr.

Both fires were extinguished without incident.

Cst Ross Lingley is investigating.
