The Stanley Street underpass at Lee Park is closed due to a water main break that is causing issues in the West Ferris area of North Bay.

"The main water supply to West Ferris is broken," stated a public works media release Saturday morning.

North Bay Mayor Al McDonald says water levels have been stabilized and staff are excavating with the repair expected to be complete by late afternoon.

"At this time a water advisory is not required," McDonald stated via social media.

"We advise the public that the tunnel under the railway tracks at Lee Park is closed and will remain so through the weekend as it is full of mud and silt from the break. Please observe the barriers to keep you and our staff safe."
