Chamber elects new Chair

The executive for the 2018 Board of Directors of the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce was elected at Thursday's board meeting. 

The new chair for the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce is Charles Elliott. Mr. Elliott has been on the board for 20 years and has been on the executive for approximately six years.

Tanya Bedard returns as 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair is Peter Rooney, Treasurer is Brad Gavan and John Strang remains as Past Chair for 2018, to complete the executive committee. 

Ms. Bedard is an economic development officer for the City of North Bay, Mr. Rooney is a partner with Kennedy Insurance, Mr. Gavan is a director with Canadore College, and Mr. Strang is a co-owner of U-Need-A-Cab.

Board members include: Nicole Bamford, The Empire Retirement Residence; Thomas Brown, Curvefront Digital Marketing; Rob Deleo, TD Bank; Elizabeth Evans, Chartwell Retirement Residences; Jake Lacourse, Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan; Rebecca McGlynn, Ontario Northland; Marc Rancourt, Marval North America/Stroma; and Melanie Rivard, Caisse Populaire.

A special thank you to Brad Gavan, Chair of the Chamber in 2017, and I look forward to working with Charles Elliott as the new chair, and the entire board, in 2018,” stated Peter Chirico, President and CEO.
