Centennial Public School Grade 7 and 8 students won most of the North Bay and District Get Smart!!! awards for radio and television commercials they produced.

The Get Smart!!! campaign invited grade 7 and 8 students from a number of area schools to write holiday safety messages for radio, and to create posters and television skits. One school in Sturgeon Falls and three in North Bay participated, with contributions from up to 300 students.

The entries were judged by injury prevention and substance abuse prevention practitioners.
